wow yes it really has been 2 months since i updated....things have been busy we bought our house and have loved every minute of it...the lady who lived there before us had some INTERESTING paint style....good thing we saw the potential that this house can have! i dont have any pics of the front of the house but ill take some........ps the yellow really is MUCH brighter in person.....and that isnt a good thing...it looks like perpetual daytime in our house

its about time for a new post...since its been about 5 or so weeks since the last one.....

i celebrated my 25th birthday...i feel like im 100.....

a few weeks after that we woke up one morning to discover....
if you cant tell that is ANKLE deep water outside of our apartment door....we live in the basement and luckily it didnt flood but it prompted us to get in gear to.....BUY A HOUSE!
we have been looking for awhile and hadn't seen anything we liked but we found one and made an offer, they accepted, and we close the beginning of july!

so since we are getting a house we decided it was time for another....
here she is with lily....
isn't she cute? we love scotties and knew we wanted another one as soon as we got a house so we looked on KSL and here is our new baby Piper

we decided last minute to go to the jazz game last night....good thing we did cause we had a BLAST! the delta center was ROCKIN'!!!! i think we are their good luck charm cause they won...must be because we were there. :)

we had such a blast that we bought tickets to go saturday night too! go jazz!

it looks like we have major bags under our eyes in this pic.....late night for us!

we totally sat in the B.F.E. but hey it was still fun!

i read this on cjane's blog today....."The thought hit me that I think I judge a woman's character on the idea of being her daughter.If I'd like to be her daughter (for a day, let's say) I judge her to be a good woman. Now, if you think this is narrow-minded of me, I will say that I just sat in the tub for the last half hour and thought of women who I don't especially like but I'd still be willing to be their offspring. Both real and fictional characters. Emma Woodhouse would make a fun mom, no? As would Cruella De Vil (especially if you like both black and white). And for the sake of pop culture, how would you like to be Paula Abdul's daughter? Think about that one."

Few things....

-im really liking our new bird Clover...he/she tweets when i watch QVC or the home shopping network....i knew we would get along....

-we are going here to celebrate my father in laws birthday and to eat lots of these

-im reading this it was recommended by several people....and so far....its interesting...its a short book which is a good thing cause i dont know how much longer i can read about a torrid love affair between a 15 year old boy and a 30 year old woman....i have always thought i could dig deep into a book but really? this book might be trying my patience....i heard the ending is interesting....if so that will be the saving grace of this book!

ps if anyone has read "The Reader" let me know so ill keep going...

its funny how i feel guilty if my blog isn't updated regularly....my Mom is good at always updating her blog......im just not so good at it.....so to make myself feel better here are some random photos......

1st: cabin trip.....way fun.....

2nd: my client has a scottie dog like Lily and we took her to my clients house for her "blind date" with Rocky....he is huge compared to her but we love him....(ps that is Rocky on the right, with the old man moustache, i wish Lily could get one of those moustaches going but she rubs what she has off....trying to be feminine )

3rd: we went to the jazz game last night....fun....they totally smoked whoever they were playing....the best part of the night was going with my hubby...oh and the cute headband i had on....tightest thing ever...but cute....

4th: i have wanted this bag since forever and you had to buy a flat iron in order to get it....didnt need a flat iron so i never got the bag.....until today...the owner of my salon found this beauty in the closet today and gave it to me! its huge i know but i want it for overnighters at the cabin! yea for a free bag!

In Lake Calcasieu, Louisiana, a wonder worthy of Hello Kitty has been discovered!

A pink dolphin!

The dolphin's "stunningly pink" color is the result of albinism, which is indicated by its red eyes as well as its pink skin. Don't worry, the dolphin is totally healthy. He's just pink!

Charter boat captain Erik Rue spotted and photographed the pink dolphin, saying, "I had never seen anything like it. It's the same color throughout the whole body and it looks like it just came out of a paint booth."

Regina Asmutis-Silvia, senior biologist with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society reminds folks to "be careful, as with any dolphins, to respect it - observe from a distance, limit their time watching, don't chase or harass it."

That way everyone can enjoy the fabulous dolphin for as long as he lives!

Baby lilac eye masks

a girl i went to high school with started making these DARLING eye masks....they are so cute and im going to buy a few for my sister in law with the triplets! they have 9 different designs with 4 different sizes....newborn, infant, child and adult...im going to get a few for me too! our house gets bright early in the morning so it would be nice to wear so we dont wake up at the crack of dawn

as i posted the last post about the painting i realized i should put a pic of our painting on the blog, im so glad and lucky to have such a talented dad and im so lucky to have our beautiful painting!

my dad always tells a story about a woman who lost her husband and two sons while they were serving in the navy, after she was left all alone some visitors stopped by her house and were sitting in her family room, one remarked on the beautiful picture that she had of a navy boat at sea and then asked why she kept it still in her house as it would always be a reminder of what she lost, she told them that the picture had been up for many years and that even though she begged her sons not to join the navy they did anyway because the picture that had been up all of their lives showed them what their father believed in and what was important to him

my dad always ties this into if you have pictures of the temple or whatever is important to you in your life up in your home always your kids will know what is important and stick with them, i was lucky growing up to have several paintings of many temples around our home to serve as a reminder to what was important to my parents and to my family

every year at the sundloff christmas party we take pictures of all of the families there are too many to post so ill just post my family....the other pics are of my dad giving my cousin chelsey and her husband one of his paintings, it has become a long standing family tradition that every year at the sundloff christmas party he gives a painting to the next family in line to receive one....he thinks the specific scene out for months and paints something just for that particular family

2008 · They've been together for over a half-century — but Ben and Bernice Finn met on a blind date. It was eight months after the end of World War II, and Ben had recently returned home to Brooklyn, N.Y., after serving in the Army.

"My two best friends were Hank and Eddie," Ben said. And unlike Ben, they both had girlfriends. So, the two asked Ben if he'd like to go out with them — and a blind date.

"In those days, you wore a suit and a tie when you went on a date," Ben said.

"I didn't have a suit to my name. So, I bought a suit to match the tie that I had."

That sparked a memory from Bernice: "Did it have apples on it?"

"It had apples on it, yes."

"I was very nervous," Ben said. "She was so pretty."

"I remember that day very well," Bernice said. "And no, you weren't pretty."

But when the couples all went out that night, there was a chill in the air.

"And I took your arm," Bernice said.

"I was thrilled by that," Ben said.

"And the reason I took your arm is, you seemed nervous. And I wanted to make you more comfortable."

The group went to a coffee shop, where they all started ordering hamburgers and drinks — everyone, that is, except for Ben. He didn't order anything.

"And I say to myself, 'Oh my God, I bet he doesn't have any money,' " Bernice remembered.

"And there I am, starving," she said. "And I ordered black coffee. Because I was afraid my date didn't have any money. So, you owe me a hamburger," she told Ben.

"I have no memory of that," Ben said. "Maybe it was I didn't have any money. Maybe I was just cheap. I don't know."

"Okay," Bernice said. "I'll buy that second explanation."

The couple dated for two years before getting married. Ben eventually got a master's degree in education and taught elementary school. The Finns have two children, Gail and Steven, and three grandchildren.

i dont know why this was so funny to me but i thought i would post it....

lily is really good at "listening" when you talk to her (jp knows about this, she loves to listen to jp talk) so tonight me and her were alone and i was on the computer and a story came on the news about a dog who was attacked by a shark while swimming......so i look over at her and she is looking at the dog on tv then she looks at me, then looks at the dog then at me....it was hilarious it was like she knew what they were talking about and she was sad about what had happened! so i just had to take a pic of her looking at me it really was like she was shocked about the story on the news.....

i love that the dog is wearing a "compression suit"-----well at least he survived!

Our Maiden Voyage to the cabin....

my parents have been building a cabin for the past 3 years+ out in Duchesne and this summer it was FINALLY finished....i have been wanting to go out there since it was finished but with our schedules we haven't had a chance to go, my parents go a ton but we haven't gone yet....till last weekend.....we invited my in laws and my husbands sister mandy and then my husbands brother and his wife and their TRIPLETS got invited.............

it was a really quick trip, only one night stay so i didn't get many pics, it was a mad house with everyone there....next time we go ill take pictures of all the bedrooms/bathrooms, both sides of the upstairs and other fun things.....oh and ill get a close up shot of our lovely elk head that hangs in the front room....glass eyes and all...i swear the entire time i was sitting in the kitchen he was giving me the stink eye...

the first two pics are of the backyard....DESOLATE. but so fun! its so fun not having any other cabins by us....just lots of sagebrush and lizards

for years my parents have been searching for something to call our "family motto", a few months ago they were at a special meeting honoring Elder Ballard (for you out there that know the whole story he is the one who gave my mom a blessing when she was in the hospital) during the meeting someone was talking about Elder Ballard and said he was a man "who was righteous even in the dark times of life", right as they heard that my parents turned to eachother and knew that that would become the Sundloff family motto so my mom "martha stewart" made it into a plaque for all the family members to remind all of us to be righteous even in the dark times of our lives....im so glad to have such wonderful parents, for those of you who are lucky to know them you will agree they are perfect examples in life especially perfect examples of what it means to be IN LOVE im so glad to have our new family motto and im glad i could share it with my blogging friends!

here are my two complaints this week:

-people who, after getting their food handed to them in the drive thru sit and riffle through their bag just to make sure they got everything they ordered and then hand it to their 8 kids......why can't they just pull off to the side instead of SIT in the drive thru and hand all their food to their kids?? i need to learn patience i guess....

-no one makes hamburger buns in less than 8 packs......."father of the bride" movie moment.....i almost ripped out 2 buns out of the package yesterday at the grocery store.....i only need 2!!! not 8!!!!

P.S. this isn't a complaint i just think its funny.......on my cell phone when im texting my predictive text writes moron first whenever i try to text mormon.....ha ha.....

American Idol auditions

jp and i went to a.i. auditions on tuesday, she tried out but i didn't! my coworkers were dying for me to try out....but i didn't want to make a fool of myself.....so here are some highlights of the day......we got to the delta center at 4:45 AM!!!!!that is what the first picture is, is jp's car showing 4:45, too early for me...... a lot of the pictures are hard to see what is going on but i just wanted to show how many people were there

after sitting outside for a few hours they moved us all to the stairs on the outside of the delta center and filmed us doing things for the opening of the show, we were DEAD center of all the shots so we will be on the opening of the show!!! yea!!! our 5 seconds of fame......

then they moved us inside to sit and once auditions started at 8:30 am, we sat and watched people......the BEST part of the ENTIRE thing, there was some interesting people and even more interesting outfits....jp's blog (www.rhettandjessica.blogspot.com) has some good pictures of people..... ryan seacrest came and we got a picture of him, you will have to double click to see it well, we weren't very close! he is a shorty! we were like the 4th section in and we didn't think it would take too long for jp to audition but she didn't audition until like 2:30, so we literally sat and sat and sat......and talked about people the whole time, they had ONE concession stand open and it was ridiculous it took me like 30 min to get us a pretzel and a drink, people were getting MAD, i told jp that mutiny was about to break out at the concession stand cause people were STARVING and it was taking forever, they didn't let you take any food in and we were tired and hungry!!!

anyways....the day was a total blast and totally worth the wait

my husband is gone tonight, he has to do clinicals tonight at a sleep center studying sleep apnea and other breathing problems so im already nervous about being alone........

so there i was relaxing in the shower.....i get out......i see my dog laying on the tile.......which she NEVER does...she looks up at me and i say "whats with the guilty face?"........she turns around and THIS is what i see.............

if you aren't too scared.....zoom in.....that little brown thing in the corner...is a LEG....she was dismembering that spider.......that's not the gross part......what i want to know is.......

WHERE WAS THAT SPIDER IN OUR HOUSE??? WHERE DID SHE BRING HIM FROM?????

the thing that is gross is she was on our BED right before she came into the bathroom........i could have DIED, i was already dreading sleeping alone in our bed.....but now its really bad cause i want to know where it came from, that was a monster........tylenol pm here we come.....

so here are the remedies.......

she was sad after i vacuumed that nasty up she kept sniffing the vacuum looking for her new buddy......but don't worry he is gone for GOOD.

this post is paying homage to jp and i's love of buying cheap, huge "diamond" rings......that post a few down of the big bling.........only cost $12.97.............ha ha! good ol nordstrom rack, that's where we would buy all our big cheap rings and try to pass them off as "real diamonds", and believe it or not, people believed us... a lot! at least they pretended to believe......anyways, when i was at nordstrom rack i saw that ring and died, i knew i had to have it, its too big and too gaudy to pass up! so thanks to all who voted on that ring price......but you were all off!

Last night, I went with some friends out to a new restaurant, and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It seemed a little strange. When the busboy brought our water and utensils, I noticed he also had a spoon in his shirt pocket. Then I looked around I saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets. When the waiter came back to serve our soup I asked, "Why the spoon?" "Well," he explained, "the restaurant's owners hired a consulting firm to revamp all our processes. After several months of analysis, they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil. It represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour. If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift." As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he was able to replace it with his spare. "I'll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen instead of making an extra trip to get it right now." I was impressed! I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of the waiter's fly. Looking around, I noticed that all the waiters had the same string hanging from their flies. So before he walked off, I asked the waiter, "Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right there?" "Oh, certainly!" Then he lowered his voice. "Not everyone is so observant... That consulting firm I mentioned also found out that we can save time in the restroom. By tying this string to the end of our "you know what," we can pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands, shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39 percent." "Hhmmm...After you get it out, how do you put it back?" I asked. "Well," he whispered, "I don't know about the others... but I use the spoon."

im feeling extra nostalgic today so that's why my playlist is 90% George Strait, all growing up my dad listened to George so i grew up loving him i still remember being a little little girl and me and my dad were driving around in his convertible listening to a cassette tape of "Baby Blue" and him singing along....i thought the song was written for me cause i have blue eyes and just cause my dad would sing along, that meant the song was written for me, its funny i still remember that, who knows what i was thinking....... i love the song "i can still make cheyanne", but, yes, me being the sap that i am, i bawl everytime i listen to it..... the song called "the fireman" really isn't one of my favorites but when me, my brother and sister were growing up we had an uncle who was a fireman so we thought that George Strait wrote that song about him.........little did we know, "the fireman" really ISN'T about a fireman......and we will just leave it at that.......

i didn't realize it till a minute ago cause i have been too engrossed in stalking people, and reading comments that people leave me

every night this is what my husband and i ask eachother, whats for dinner? and every night i have to rack my brain as to what to make, so we should all help eachother out and swap recipes! here are a few......the girl who does my nails gave me this......its the BEST, every recipe is DEAD ON! it tastes exactly like cafe rio, they are time consuming, but worth it! these recipes make a lot! the recipe says serves around 20

Cafe Rio Pork:
pork roast (dosen't say how many pounds to use, but probably around 4 lbs)
1 bottle honey bbq sauce
1 TBS honey
1 liter of Coke

Place all ingredients in large crock pot and cook on low all night. In the morning take the roast out and leaving the juice in the crock pot, shred the roast. Then place the shredded roast back in the crock pot and leave it on low.

Cafe Rio lime rice:
in a sauce pan saute:
2 tbs butter
1 yellow onion, chopped
4 cloves minced garlic

In a large pot bring the following to a boil:
6 2/3 cups water
8 tsp chicken bullion
1/2 bunch chopped cilantro
2 tsp cumin
2 small cans diced green chilies
1 tbs lime juice
1/2 tsp salt

Add onion and garlic to boiling water.
Add 3 cups long grain rice. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 min.

Cafe Rio tomatillo Dressing: (THE BEST DRESSING EVER!!!)
1 pkg. Hidden Valley Buttermilk Ranch Dressing dry mix
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup mayonnaise
1-2 tomatillos, peeled
1/2-1 clove minced garlic
1/2-1/3 bunch chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp lime juice
1/2-1 small jalapeno, seeds removed

Blend ingredients together in a blender, add additional mayo if dressing is too thin.

when i was 3 years old i LOVED flintstone vitamins, my mom would have to hide them from me cause i would eat the whole bottle, except for one day she walked into the kitchen and i had found the bottle and had proceeded to eat EVERY single orange vitamin in the jar, needless to say poison control was called ASAP! they were really nervous about iron poisioning.....but i turned out ok.....

but, 21 years later i STILL LOVE flintstone vitamins! i can't buy any cause i will seriously eat them like candy!

for those of you who may find this interesting.....being a hairstylist is my life so i thought it would be appropriate to post on the blog.....here are some of my clients and their "hairdo's"!

and yes, the girl with the red hair WANTED it to be that color.......crazy, i know

and those first 3 pics are not of a bride but just a high school girl going to prom, geez, prom sure is different! now a days the hair has to be FANCY and this girl had the mom from H----, she acted like the prom was her wedding, give me a break!

any of you who know me, well actually even the people who REALLY know me, may not know this.....im obsessed with Sylvia Browne.

she is a psychic that is often featured on the Montel Williams Show and as i always say, "i may be the only mormon who believes in psychics...." but i really believe in her! me and one of my friends/clients went and saw her when she came to Salt Lake, so here are some pictures of me getting my book signed! i was so excited i could barely breathe!

the entire night she talked about her predictions for the next few years then did some reading for some people.....INTERESTING....everyone in the audience had a wrist band on with a number and she would draw numbers out of a basket and if your number got picked you could go up and get a reading from Sylvia, one girl got up and she completely described her deceased husband and little mannerisms he would do and then she said to the girl, "he died of complications of diabetes right?" and the girl said yes, then sylvia totally pinpointed several other things that were wrong with him before he died, then in the middle of this girls reading, Sylvia stops and says "ok, someone in this section (and she points to the middle front section of the room) has a loved one who died recently from an explosion and this person who died wont leave me alone, i need to talk to his wife so he will leave me alone," so then she continues to describe how this person died, in an explosion on a mountain with several other people, etc. etc. she kept going on and on about it, till finally this lady raised her hand and said "i think you are talking about my husband..." so Sylvia brings her on stage and gives her this whole spill about her husband, describes how he looked, his death, etc. then says "you and several people are waiting on some sort of money settlement right? your husband keeps giving me the number 200...does this make sense?" the lady said that of all the immediate family members that were affected it was around 200, well come to find out they were talking about the Crandall Canyon Mine accident, they sylvia said "mark my words, around july or august, you will get closure over this, it will be all over the news, the person that is behind all of this is holding back some important info and it will all come to a head soon, and you and the familys will finally get some restitution, not as much money as you want but you will get some money"

so i will be on pins and needles every day in july and august, watching the news waitiing to see if there is any info about all of that! i know many of you think im crazy,,,, but me and mom seriously believe in her! so if it happens, all you skeptics will have to change your mind!

p.s. after that blistering comment from my friend jamie, yes, my friend that i went to sylvia browne with is named jamie and we had a blast! thanks for going with me jamie and for being my professional photographer

i have no idea what im doing, but lots of my friends have these "blogs" so i thought i would do one for our little family...

by the way, what the heck (that shows im from utah) is a blog anyway? i ask casey all the time what blog means...he dosen't know either!

im at work so i can't do much more on this so called blog

but ill get some pictures up and start this silly thing
